After our tender win in 2024, about 30 apartments will be added to the inner city of Papendrecht here according to the concept of Tatami Homes. What makes the project extra special is that the homes will be allocated to starters; providing place for them to stay in Papendrecht.
Dakdokters Studio was responsible for the nature-inclusive (roof) garden design and the water storage task. The layout of the green outdoor spaces is a high-quality addition to the existing neighborhood green structure and local biodiversity. Like a green veil, the building is covered with greenery, offering diverse living spaces. Not only for residents, but also for bats, birds, butterflies, bees and other insects. Implementing green elements around the building creates a diversity of habitats and biotopes. The varied greenery not only provides food and shelter for animals but also acts as an important connection and stepping stone between the surrounding parks and natural areas.
